This article will explain how to copy an existing Job Type within Companion, to create a custom Job Type.
What is a Job Type?
In Prohire Companion, there are several Job Types all used for different purposes; Pre-Rental Inspection, Checkout & RA and Post Rental Inspection to name a few. They each fulfil a specific purpose and set statuses within Prohire.
There is the ability to copy an existing Job Type to create a custom Job Type to meet specific business requirements, for example you may want to copy the Pre-Rental Inspection Job Type copy it to make a custom Pre-Rental Inspection for Motorhomes/Campervans.
How to copy a Job Type
From Prohire, navigate to Tools > Setup > Display POL Setup > Mobile Jobs > Job Types.
On the Job Type you wish to copy, select the “copy icon” on the right-hand side. In this case, we will copy the Pre-Rental Inspection.
You will be prompted to re-name the Custom Job Type, by giving it a new “Name” and Description. Once you are happy, click “Create” the finalise and save the details.
You have now created a Custom Job Type.
