This document will show you how to amend an existing notification within a Companion job. This effectively is the area where you can configure emails to be sent out based off of a trigger and to defined recipients.
During this document, I am going to demonstrate how to adjust an email notification to send the Booking Documents to the test@test.com email address as well as the other recipients when the Post Rental Inspection has been completed.
1. First you will need to navigate to the below:
-
- Tools > Setup > Display POL Setup
- Tools > Setup > Display POL Setup
-
- If you need to know how to create a Notification, please follow the below Knowledge Base article.
- Insert KB Article Here
- If you need to know how to create a Notification, please follow the below Knowledge Base article.
4. Once you have entered the job builder, you should then click on the ‘cog’ icon at the top right of the page next to the job name to edit the job type.
5. Then select navigate to the ‘Notifications’ tab.
6. This will display the current available Notifications assigned to that job type. It also shows:
-
- The Template that will be sent.
- The Condition that needs to be met for the email to be sent.
- The Destinations or recipients that the email will be sent to.
8. You can then adjust the Template that is sent by using the drop down, amend the condition which triggers the email to be sent and the destination where the email is sent.
-
- Job is assigned.
- Job is complete.
- New defects recorded.
- No new defects recorded.
- Job is at [Location Name].
Destination options include:
-
- Email address.
- User.
- Role.
- Role at job location.
- Job assignee.
- Hire Company.
- Customer.
- Job signee.
- Booking Contacts.
9. In this example I want to ensure the email is sent to test@test.com when the Post Rental Job is complete and so I am going to add a new destination selecting the Email Address
11. Finally, when completed and happy with the changes made you can press ‘Update’. This will then amend the notification for the job that you have amended for all future jobs.
