Explains how to view all fleet defects that have been recorded on Companion.
Firstly, navigate to Tools > Setup > Display POL Setup. From the online menu on the left-hand side, click on the Fleet Defects option.
This will produce a list of all the recorded damage across your fleet and will be generated in date order, from the most recent at the top, to oldest at the bottom. You can re-order it by clicking one of the column headers at the top, for example “Vehicle” or “Defect” type.
There is a search function and filter option in the top right-hand corner on the screen. This allows you to specifically search or filter the results by Site, Severity, Status, Reg, or even Date Created. From the below example, you can see that I have searched for REG 01 and have filtered the Created Date to 1st October to present.
When clicking into a defect, you get a more detailed view of the damage spot, when it was created, a description and image of the damage when it was taken. In the top right-hand corner, there are several actions.
Mark as fixed – Mark the damage as fixed, this will remove the “damage spot” from the frog diagram on future jobs.
Mark as billed – Marking the damage as billed changes the status to “current” and flags this to be fixed next.
Mark as invalid – Allows you to mark the damage as invalid, essentially meaning it is incorrect and can be removed.
