Companion – Linked Jobs

Explains what Linked Jobs are in Companion and when they might be used.

What is a Linked Job?

In Prohire Companion, a Linked Job is a “secondary” job type that can be set up separately from a Checkout, or Delivery. It is typically used when you need to email the Rent Agreement to the customer, but when the inspection/checkout is still completed at the Rental office.

  • In the example below, the Checkout job for MT18OCM is being completed by the “Prohire” user – meanwhile the Rent Agreement is being emailed to helpdesk@prohire.co.uk to be completed separately.

To create a Linked Job, simply proceed with a mobile job at the Checkout stage as normal but tick the “Create Linked Job” box on the above screen. You can then select a User to assign the Rent Agreement Linked Job to, or “Assign to Guest.” This will pre-populate the email address set against the client record, or alternatively click “New Guest” to enter your own custom email address.
