A guide that will show you to create a define a tracker geofence within the tracker suite.
1. To access the Tracker suite, from the main screen of Prohire navigate to Tools > Setup > Display POL Setup or Tracker > Setup Geofences.
2. Click on Add Geofence in the top right-hand corner.
3. It is best to use the Polygon tool when creating a new Geofence, as it acts like a dot-to-dot function, making it easier to outline a specific area. In the example below, I have created a Geofence for the Isle of Sheppey, outlined in Blue.
4. Enter a Geofence Name & Description and select whether or not you would like to be alerted if a vehicle enters or exists this area. You must also set the Status to Active if you wish to enable the Geofence.
5. In the Alert Settings button on the right hand side, you can set some definitions and notifications.
Enabled – Sets whether or not an alert will appear in the Tracker Alerts section.
Actionable – If toggled on, the Alert will have to be manually checked and resolved by a User.
Setup Notifications – Allows you to notify specific Users, Email address, or people within certain roles when this Geofence has been passed through.
In the example below, I am setting up a notification for this Geofence, to Always send to test@prohire.co.uk if and when the Goefence has been passed through by a vehicle.
Once you are happy, click Save on the main setup screen of the Geofence (see screenshot 1)
