Explains the purpose of a new Proweb domain and how to set one up.
The main purpose of creating a new domain is if you trade under an alternative name to the company name. When your database is first setup, it is usually the company name that is used. When enabling Proweb, this company name is used as the domain name. You are able to create another domain name, for example if you wish for this to be the name as you trade as.
Firstly, navigate to Tools > Setup > Display POL Setup. From the online menu on the left-hand side, click on Setup > Proweb. When on this screen, click on “Manage Domain” – the following screen will open.
To add a new domain, simply type in the name of the new domain into the “Sub Domain” box – only the beginning of the domain is required for example “roadrunnerrentals” as the rest will be added in automatically – so it will eventually become roadrunnerrentals.securewebbookings.com
Click the ADD box once you are happy. This domain will now be available to select as the Primary domain if you wish. To do this, select the white circle toggle to select the alternative domain name.
