Shows how to add/remove a charge item to Proweb, as an optional extra.
Firstly, navigate to Tools > Setup > Display POL Rate Cards.
Click on “Manage Card” against the active rate card, and under Rate Card Items click the “ADD ITEM” button, and select the item you wish to add, for example Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
If the item you wish to add as an optional extra does not exist yet, please navigate to POL Setup, and click on “Chargeable Items” under the Setup heading to create the new charge item first. Next, you must add in the rates, much like you have with the Rental items per group, see below screenshot. In this example, 1-6 days would be £15 per day, 7-28 days £10 per day, and 28 days or more is £5 per day.
Now, we need to make the item an optional extra. Click on the item reference (CDW) on the left-hand side and select “Web Optional” to make this an optional item when the customer places a booking via Proweb.
The “Default Quote Item” option is used to default the item to the initial quote when customer makes a booking. I.e. Rental is always a default quote item.
Remember to “Publish” the Rate Card once you are happy with the changes! To undo this, simply untick the “Web Optional” tick box and publish the rate card once more.
When the customer makes a booking online, it should appear under the “Extras” section as an optional extra.
